Director lacks leadership does not value skill sets on the team

Engineer (Current Employee) San Diego, CA

ProsGood benefits, friendly staff, nice campus

ConsDirector level lacks experience and therefore does not value technical skill sets. 90/10 management philosophy casts a negative black shadow on employees productivity.
The entire company sits in cubicals

Advice to Senior ManagementUnderstand that people and their skill sets are the sturcture of the company not just ways to promote your own career.

IT is stuck in the dark ages

Engineer (Current Employee) San Diego, CA

I have been working at Teradata

Pros: The salary is decent and competitive. The benefits are good and include a lot of things missing from other companies.… Cons: Sr. Management is plagued with micro-managers. The entire company is a cube-farm with no privacy. IT management is more interested in forcing their own agendas than listening… Advice to Senior Management: Get rid of middle management that has zero experience in the field they are managing. Hire directors that listen to their employees and will stand… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
