Teradata – “Mature company. Needs to get up to speed with newer technologies and methods.”
Pros
Many of the employees have been there for over 10 years. I have never seen such longevity in other companies that I've worked for. The work-life balance is healthy. The compensation is decent. Benefits are good.
Cons
The people have been working at Teradata for so long that they've become stale with their ideas. The company doesn't seem invested in innovation, with their own products or with their own methods. They need to hire new talent but the workplace just isn't attractive to potential hires that are looking for a hot, high tech place to work. Teradata is not that place.
Advice to Senior Management
Management needs to cut the bureaucracy and find a faster way to get things done. There is so much processing and rules to adhere to. It is quite inefficient.
