Pros

Top heavy, great place to work on you later years

Cons

Low Pay, extremely hard to get promoted. Small annual salary adjustments. Raises to one individual must be offset by other team members' merit increase.

Advice to Management

Need new blood, promote people whithin.

    Pros

    -Good training
-Good support (I was given 2 months off to care for an ill family member, no questions asked)
-The best can rise to the top quickly
-If you are aggressive, there are lots of places to go.
-They have the best data warehouse from the ground up, and they've had it that way for 30 years. There is a reason Apple uses our systems for all the analytic on their stores.
-Lots of very intelligent and experienced guys that aren't intimidated by a bright young person, and will teach you!

    Cons

    -HR is ineffective and bloated.
-Internal systems need to be more coordinated and streamlined.
-This is not a job for a person with small children.

    Advice to Management

Tighten the coordination between what we sell, and what PS delivers. Penalize SAs and salesmen who undercut their PS team by committing to deliverables without securing funding for them.

    Pros

    Interesting work
    Exciting industry, market space
    Good compensation and benefits

    Cons

    Limited HR/IT support
    Uninspiring leadership
    Frequently changing priorities
    Vague, broad brush strategy

    Advice to Management

Corporate leadership lacks enthusiasm and a commitment to innovation. General sense is that any good ideas that really move the company forward are going to come from the ranks. Set some defined business priorities, stick to them for at least a year, and give employees the ability to innovate. Lose the obsolete, heavy weight, manufacturing-style processes that were carried over from NCR.
