Good place to work if you don't like weekends or vacations.

Employee (Current Employee)
Madera, CA

I have been working at Terminix

ProsMonitary compensation is good. Average health and dental plan provided. Some very good and supportive fellow employees.

ConsUnusual hours. Favoritism. Lack of communication of new policies and procedures. Little chance of improving position without a pay and time sacrafice. Difficult to take time off without falling behind and working overtime to catch up. GPS monitoring and reporting of almost every action taken in a company vehicle. Sometimes unavoidable exposure to chemicals that may effect your immediate or future health.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop the decetralization of sales and responsibility from local branches to "call centers." Realize "best fit" only decreases efficiency and illiminates individual responsibility for poor quality. Best fit destroys the personal relationship between a customer and technician by allowing an unknown and untrusted person to try and resolve the issue. Technicians do not have historical information about a customer that is not theirs and may use methods that are known not to work or may even use materials at a frequency that is not consistant with the label.

Is Terminix really the career for you?

Inspector (Current Employee)
Philadelphia, PA

I have been working at Terminix

Pros: They are always looking for good people at Terminix, partially due to the high… Cons: They expect you to work six days a week year round, which can be a downside unless you are a workaholic. There is inconsistency… Advice to Senior Management: Get in touch with the branch-level operations and problems. Beware of too much focus on profit and loss while ignoring basic necessities.… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More

Terminix is forgetting that this is a "people business"

Service Manager (Current Employee)

I have been working at Terminix full-time for more than 5 years

Pros: No one looking over your shoulder. A chance to meet a broad cast… Cons: Corporate picks and chooses what feedback they want to hear from the field. Pest tech pay is weighted… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
