Pros

Company vehicle with fuel, training opportunities, stability of large organization

Cons

Micro-managment, poor senior management, no direction what-so-ever, leaders using an iron fist to lead

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire a President and find a direction to move in. Return the notion of customer service. There was a time this was the best job I ever had, then a private equity firm bought all of ServiceMaster...

    Pros

    There is a draw against commission of $12.50 an hour so your basic needs can be met.

    Cons

    No company car, I put 10,000 miles on my older car in about 2 1/2 months. Computer system was from the 80's and dos based. No way to document or record calls to customers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Invest in some support to the sales team, contact management software at minimum

    Pros

    There were no good reasons

    Cons

    Terminix has the highest pest control cost and are not competitive. They give sales people unmanageable quotas. When you don't hit quote you are fired. Max employment length for new sales reps is about 6 months, never longer. Was given $400/month in fuel allowance. Drive own vehicle between MS and TN all day everyday. Not nearly enough. Commissions were only 1%. Technicians make twicw as much as sales or more....

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Give reps time to build a base before write ups. Commercial sales take time to close. Not like residential..They have more processes to get approvals for contracts.
