I have been working at Tetra Tech full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

competitive benefits, many government contracts with 2-5 yr duration, less rush-rush proposals than private sector. Generally fair annual raises.

Cons

No enouragement and many obstacles to transferring to a different division, even when openings exist. When a division experiences a downturn in workload, management does not assist employees in uniform sharing of work between offices to keep everyone busy, becomes an every-man-to-himself environment. Management will give no hints whatsoever prior to layoffs, and like all companies, will terminate senior, non-management staff first, regardless of value added.

Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Tetra Tech full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Big, a lot of resources. Personnel with cultural and professional diversity.

    Cons

Poorly organized, intercompany resources are difficult to identify and/or utilize, a lot of ineffective prima-donnas in management; almost impossible to advance based on technical merit or business success without serious brown-nosing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take better care of your employees from a recognition and advancement perspective. Be more active and selective in identifying leaders... same guy forever really gets stale. Improve corporate and divisional organization - it was a complete mess.

    No opinion of CEO
