I have been working at Texans Can Acadamies

ProsThe school targets at-risk students, which provides great job satisfaction and resume material.
Definitely not a boring place to work.
Teachers and even paraprofessionals have room to make an impact.
Provides a great opportunity for non-licensed educators to obtain their license.
Superior professional growth opportunities.

ConsLow compensation.
State management and local management at odds.
Dissatisfaction with executives.
You have to be careful about what you say or do.

Advice to Senior ManagementFire yourselves.

Pros: Work with "at risk" students grades 9-12. A fair amount of freedom in creating… Cons: Long work hours (7:30am to 5pm required) At will employment leads to high staff turnover.
