    I worked at Texas AgriLIFE Research part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Could work part-time while on F1 visa and get research work. I had a fabulous guide and there was a good work-life balance maintained.

    This depends on who your guide is and what work you are tasked with.

    Pros

    All my co-workers were great to work with and easy to get a long with. Also worked with my school schedule.

    Cons

    The Doctor I was doing research under was not very easy to work with. Seemed to pick all all of the student workers.
