I worked at Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

A great place to learn industry best practices in most areas and to work on projects that contribute to the enhancement of business communities and technical support.

    Cons

Currently undergoing cultural shift do to younger employees coming on board. Institutional knowledge leaves as those with the knowledge leaves and depending on the department the learning curve can delay service to internal as well as external customers. Pay per performance is not equitable across the board.
