I have been working at Texas Health Resources full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The benefits are okay. Nothing over the top, but better than some companies offer. They offer competitive compensation at least as far as starting salaries are concerned.

    Cons

The company culture is reminiscent of companies from over 50 years ago. They practice a top down managment style. Very little collaboration and development exists for lower level employees. This is an extremely elitist organization. If you're looking to start low and get development for advancement, this is not the place you want to be.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

All employees at all levels should be treated with respect and should be shown that they are appreciated. The management style needs to be brought into the 21st century. Elitist organizations do nothing to motivate employees or incent them to perform at their highest level,.

    Pros

THR is a financially stable company with excellent benefits, competitive pay and opportunities for career growth.

    Cons

The politics in the company from top to bottom is thicker than the election with the hanging chad! If you're in the "club" then it will work out very well for you. If you're not, then you'll want to fly below the radar with the other 90% of the people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a close and honest look at your actions. People (peons) won't tell you, but when you show up to show us little ones how dedicated you are and then take a picture to post on Yammer (to document what a great leader you are) you're mocking us. Please, STOP IT! An honest leader is someone who will do the right thing even when nobody is looking.
