I have been working at Texas Health Resources full-time (more than a year)

Pros

THR has the right idea and is coming along

Cons

The rural entities THR acquired don't want to turn over control, HR policies are not all the same, salary wages are lower in the rural entities. The thing is, is that they don't want to pay and have a huge turn over

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Raise salaries across the board, and have consistent HR policies in all entities

I have been working at Texas Health Resources as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

Most of IT works from home the majority of the work week and the atmosphere is mostly laidback and welcoming.

    Cons

Multiple hospitals so new Epic applications, rollouts and upgrades are never ending. Also, it seems most people in IT are pretty new to Epic since the hospital expanded so large so quickly, so just be ready to adjust to the learning curve.

  2. Worked as a clinical research coordinator between five of the hospital entities.
