Pros

Benefits, job stability, before call center - interaction with customers

Cons

supervisors was on power kick, said derogatory comments about workers and clerks plus all clients. used fowl language. supervisors have been caught stealing from other companies and this agency will rehire them. co workers have a gang banger attitude since they have gang members in their families. you only get promoted by how much you brown nose

Advice to Management

hire ones that know how to manage and not on a power kick. very immature and some of them have been around for 20 years

    Pros

Very Very very stressful but rewarding when you are given the ability to feed families using Snap nutrition for families and perhaps medicaid if eligible

    Cons

Not everyone will be eligible its income based and many times hard to have to tell a client they don't qualify.

    Advice to Management

Learn to appreciate your employees a little more, at the end of the day and all day we're on the same team.

I worked at Texas Health and Human Services Commission as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Good compensation and benefits, even as an intern/temporary employee.

    Cons

Very large agency; sometimes difficult to coordinate/complete projects in a timely manner due to complex organizational chart and bureaucratic processes.
