It started out as a company that cared about people and ended up as a company that only cared about profit.

    Pros

Good Benefits, Average Pay, many good smart people to work with. It is a US company.

    Cons

Poor Management that does not know or understand their products, customers or employees. Made every one feel like a number.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Thanks to you and your inability to understand your own business, I am now working for the competition and I am inspired to take the market share that you no longer care about.

Texas Instruments cares about its employees, and it's very apparent.

I worked at Texas Instruments as an intern

    Pros

The benefits are amazing, the people are great. What more can I say? The benefits outweighed the cons for me and I highly recommend this company to my peers. The company was extremely courteous and flexible with my efforts to balance work and life, and they were the same with my co-workers.

    Cons

As much as I enjoyed my experience, there were cons to it. The company is huge. As much as they try to keep you feeling important, it's easy to feel like you really matter. The thing that makes TI so great (that they constantly strive for better quality and faster turnaround) is also partially their downfall. There were some times during my career there when I saw people being reprimanded for terrible ideas and not really praised for making improvements. That is not conducive to an open, knowledge-sharing environment.
