Pros

Very good benefits all around. Matching 401k and yearly bonus based on how well the company is doing. This also extends to interns and co-ops.

Cons

Some divisions expect a great deal of overtime in order to meet deadlines.

    Pros

Established company. Most of the individual contributors there are easy to get along with and care about what they are doing. Work/life balance can be good if you are in the right division.

    Cons

TI has a good reputation in the industry, but my experience there was no so good. The company is slow moving and the management was really poor. They has no strategic vision and the road map changed frequently. Some of the higher level managers seemed to care more about their own advancement than about the customer or their employees.

    Pros

TI has had some truly great engineers to work with. At times I worked some very leading edge projects in wireless and we created some incredible applications processors.

    Cons

TI management offers almost no stability for a full timer. Even as a contractor there they do not honor their contracts and terminate many months early with practically no notice. It is really very disappointing.

    Advice to Management

Clean up your business model and offer more stability to employees and to contractors alike. When you sign a contract for 9 months, honor it and stop screwing people over to get your bonuses. I can no longer trust management after having been on two contracts that were terminated several months early.
