Very smart engineers, flexible environment, very good work-life balance

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsPeople are very nice and willing to teach you.
Very flexible environment.
Good incentives and reasonable perks.
Excellent work-life balance.

ConsLack of long term vision.
Lack of engineers at top management.
Image of a gigantic conservative company.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe willing to take on riskier ventures.
Do not let go of talented employees. Too many reorgs and firing will not make for a good environment for innovation.
If there is competition in a market instead of quickly shutting down the business, try to compete and keep hold of the market.
Think of selling software, services and systems level solution. Do not pigeon hole yourself into a single type of business model and only selling chips. Profit margins could be higher if software etc.. were to be charged as well and will also make software engineers feel more valuable to the company.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
