I worked at Texas Instruments full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Exposure to latest technology trends - before they make the papers!
International flavor - colleagues from all over the world.
TI does care about its employees, for the most part. They will do the right thing, usually. If there is a problem, it is usually not company policy, it is a rogue manager.
    Good benefits.

    Cons

Insular culture - Top management is dominated by Texans. Although there are many managers and employees from all around the world, at the end of the day, it is a very Southern perspective that dominates. This means that if there is an Elephant in the Room, they will act like you are Rude for saying so. Or they will tell you to remove the elephant, but will not give you any resources to manage Elephant removal.

If you're not an engineer, you don't matter.

    Travel can be insane.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at Templeton's old charts saying how TI would kill Intel. Really???
Look at old charts saying how QCOM didn't know wireless. Really???
    You need new blood.
