I have been working at Texas Instruments full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Focus on cost optimization. Good pay for what you do.

    Cons

No room for imagination, innovation and risk taking. Can be stressful if you are engaged in a highly visibie activity. Management implements a standardized approach for most business activities. You spend a lot of time on endless reports.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

For a few more years this approach will work, but the smaller faster fabless competition is nibbling away from TI's cake at many places.
