I have been working at Texas Roadhouse part-time (less than an year)

Pros

Great managers and co-workers. The pay can be pretty good, even for the SA's and hosties. Can't beat the employee discount! And very flexible hours.

Cons

Your pay will vary depending on what days you work (ie:slow or busy days) if you work mostly on tips (all front of the house does). It can get boring.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give your hosties and SA's more to do! It get's boring waiting for people and you could be getting more done!

I worked at Texas Roadhouse part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Upbeat western atmosphere, fun dance routines, fun team members, 30% employee discount

    Cons

Store manager is very negative and harsh on employees, but he pressures us to be positive and constantly smiling. He is barely there, especially when employees need him, and puts off on an employee when they say they need to talk and soon forgets about it entirely. Uses favoritism to promote an employee.
Training is very unorganized and improvised.
Guests and team member may be difficult and rude (as in any restaurant).
