Advice to Management

I believe the communication is great from the upper levels of TWC down to the area managers to the center managers to the supervisor but supervisors tend to treat employees as incompetent babies and offer little to no information or just on a need to know basis (at least in my center). Make your employees feel more valuable and not just like robots in an assembly line that can be replaced whenever

    Pros

Thoroughly enjoyed helping the unemployed preparing for their work searches and hopeful interviews. There were many rewards in doing this. Working for the State of Texas was a very good experience overall.

    Cons

Unfortunately the annual contract was not renewed by the Texas Workforce Commission and thirteen of us were not extended for the new fiscal year. Budget cuts!

    Advice to Management

    None
