Textron Employee Review
Textron – “Service Delivery Analyst - purely an analyst position, plans for the workstation computing environment”
Pros
No matter what you are working on or what project you happen to be part of there are always internal changes to the scope and fundamental facts. This is commonly referred to the "ability to deal with ambiguity". That might have actually have been in the job description. Works mostly for the management of the design of, building out, and release of software components for the computing environment, as well as defining the essential business required elements for the base workstation operating system build (image). Allowed a great deal of latitude and autonomy in planning and work...
Cons
however has to be able to wear several dozen hats at one time in an environment where everything is a priority. Autonomy unfortunately doesnt do alot of good when the expectation is to walk around picking up the pieces of failed infrastructure project after failed project. The position should have probably been called "director of project sanitation".
Advice to Senior Management
Be glad the job market is really bad right now. Once the climate begins to change so will talent base. Exodus.
