I worked at Thales full-time for more than a year

Pros

4 weeks PTO because you definitely need it. The people that management so calls "at the bottom" or "lower level" are the best and hardest working people.

Cons

Sadly the mentality and culture at Thales Irvine is to drive fear into the employees so they will work hard and keep quiet. People are worked to death, Management is poor, and your Integrity is worth nothing. They make you take a bunch of Ethics courses but they are NOT Ethical AT ALL. They sweep all problems under the rug as long as they can avoid legalities on their side but could care LESS for the damages done to the employees. If you complain, they will make your life miserable.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

WORST Ethics I had ever seen. The company can only progress when the negative mentality and culture changes.

I have been working at Thales full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good Insurance, 4-5 weeks PTO, and 401K.

    Cons

No training and No support from any level of Managers. Can't trust Human Resources cause they are not confidential and will Retaliate. Does not hold people accountable or responsible for their job or actions. Does not appreciate those with an education. Too much politics. No opportunities unless you really know how to suck up big time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Appreciate people for their hard work. Let the employees anonymously rate their managers to decide who actually Needs Improvement.

I have been working at Thales

    Pros

Great benefits, never boring, bosses let you do your job with a large degree of independence.

    Cons

Upper management sometimes out of touch, reluctant to settle conflicts, conflicts created by conflicting goals. Examples, build something quickly, but spend no time or money on it, but get it delivered. Satisfy customers, but cut costs from current level by spending less time on customer satisfaction. Handle more business, but with fewer people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Tell everyone what the priority is, instead of making people wrong no matter what the result
