    Pros

The managers are fair and work with you when you need time off for personal things and they do understand the stress that is placed on the employees.

    Cons

The senior management is outsourcing everything it can, eliminating positions monthly, and doing its best to tell the surviving employees that 'we have exactly the right people in the right roles now that we have made these cuts' ... and then cut more after that. There is a sense of a sinking ship in the office. Overall the feeling of tensions comes from the fact that you never know if you are going to be laid off next, so even if they hire you, they may lay you off in short term to meet a financial goal.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Come clean! Tell your employees that the layoffs are an attempt by you to keep the company afloat in hopes of selling it and making millions of dollars. You are a Private Equity deal gone sour - you paid too much for assets from 2007-2009 and now you can not flip the company. Tell your employees that the only reason they work so hard is to guarantee your golden parachute / corporate sale. This is a get rich quick operation and it has gone bad and now all of the hard working employees of the companies you acquired in your quest for a massive pay-day are suffering from your mismanagement. Be honest and stop hard-selling your employees on the importance of hard work for the sake of the customer.
