I worked at The Children's Courtyard

    Pros

    Very reasonably priced benefits package
    Weekends off(mostly)
    No late nights
Normally guaranteed 40hr full time work week
    Nice facilities

    Cons

Management doesn't inform employees of certain papers required for benefits until than than a work day before they are to be due
Management isn't knowledgable of policies and procedures when asked
Children are packed into classrooms at maximum ratio to increase profits, although a smaller ratio than what state requires is something courtyard likes to say they practice
Director doesn't seem to be concerned with her facility, like it is beneath themself to have thier position

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Act like you truly care about your employees and they well being of the childrens as well as the happiness of the parents in providing quality childcare versus making money

I have been working at The Children's Courtyard full-time

    Pros

Children are awesome, staff at locations are nice

    Cons

No raises, no overtime, low pay, expected to do the work of at least 2 people in less time than it should take 1, corporate doesn't care about maintaining current enrollment

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider putting kids first, as your website claims. Pay teachers enough to make them want to stay. Turnover of teachers = unsatisfied parents. Unsatisfied parents = poor reviews + dropped enrollment. If you keep your employees happy, you will maintain current enrollment, gain back good reviews, and grow your enrollment. More enrollment = more money. Basic supply and demand. You can't grow a company without quality and you can't keep quality when you don't try to support it. Quality takes investment in your employees.
