I worked at The Children's Courtyard full-time for more than a year

Pros

Great program with well organized curriculum
Wonderful and fun coworkers, managers, and director

Cons

A lot of work for little pay, but if you love what you're doing, it's worth it!
Not much room for upward movement if you are a Lead Teacher

I have been working at The Children's Courtyard full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Working with the children is rewarding. You get lots of hugs from the children. Management allows you to do your job without a lot of oversight.

    Cons

Staff doesn't communicate well, there are a lot of missed opportunities because staff doesn't talk to each other.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Better communication in all departments

I worked at The Children's Courtyard full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Since The Children's Courtyard sold to Learning Care Group it has been down hill since then. All they are concerned with is making money. The children & staff are not taken care of like they used to be. I have NO Pros.

    Cons

Most all of The Children's Courtyard's are accredited which means lower ratio's in the classroom and have certain educational toys available. The State Minimum Standard SA Children is a 1:26 and on most days they would run 1:30. Corporate did not care about ratio's, only $$$$$.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The Children's Courtyard was awarded ONE OF THE BEST PLACES TO WORK IN THE DFW... Talk with the original owners and find out how to run a CHILDCARE CENTER.
