    Lies...all lies!

I worked at The Fountain Group

    Pros

There are some genuinely good people who work there. These are the people who come in day in and day out, work hard to make a living to support themselves or family. They are however, under appreciated, used and totally "disposable". It is a good way to get experience in the industry. They will hire just about anyone. The need to too since they have such a high turnover ratio.

    Cons

You dont have any PTO your first year. Insurance and benefits if any are a joke! Your are better off getting insurance elsewhere.

Besides a few great recruiter and support staff, no one or anything else in this company is real...starting with the positive reviews. I know its safe to assume that after someone is fired, they wont have great reviews. For anyone to point that out on a review however sounds more like a cover up...just like what this company does best. Ive seen management demand the Acct Managers to dress up when people come in for interviews amd put up a fake image that every one is professional. Word of advice, it doesn't matter how you dress if you act like a clown, you are nothing more than a clown in a suit. Account Managers have no idea what their reqs are, what the hiring managers expect and rely on QA to figure it out and submit on their behalf. They spend their day passing out reqs, intimidate the floor, micro manage recruiters and worst of all stab each other in the back. If you are a recruiter and caught "talking" to one another, you are threatened or written up. Oh and some how you can be demoted from being an Account Manager (cause you cant do your job well) and still be in charge. They can't earn respect by their actions and the run the floor by intimidating the recruiters...oh unless of course you are their buddy and in that case you can play angry birds at work and get away with things. Yes they might pay better than some firms but its only because they are willing to look the other way or "in the group".

It is true that if you work hard it pays off and if you slack off you will get fired. Look up on LinkedIn and see where the recruiters go after they are let go. If they were bad, can they really make it elsewhere? Well, the "bad ones" do. They end up at some of the best firms in the industry....how is that possible if they were fired due to poor performance and are now bitter. Or look at where they come from. How can they come from some of the best companies in this industry and fail at the Fountain Group? Take notice how all the Account Managers have no other experience elsewhere and they are the only people who are there for long periods of time. The one I have had a previlege to work with who has real credentials resigned after a few months. Do any of them have real recommendation from clients? The "good" stuff is all fake and made up by people who are paid to keep their jobs. They say they have multiple office and Account Managers are National. That is all a lie. They have one office and a bunch of cell phone numbers from around the country to put up an image of having multiple offices. Do a superpages search. I guarantee there are no other physical address in any other city they tell their clients that they are in. The company is so unorganized they do not have a true database or ATS. Every thing is placed in Google Docs and no real way to track candidates, jobs, placements....A consultant can be fired from an client and be submitted again cause there is no real tracking of applications or consultants. If you like the dog eat dog environment where the support staff take the beating so a management can make a great living....go ahead and join the Fountain Group. I'd suggest really looking at LinkedIn and see how more people are successful BEFORE or AFTER The Fountain Group.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please be real....no more fake reviews. No more fake promises and stop "selling opportunities" that don't exist. Clean up your image by doing the right thing and NOT just "look" that way.

I worked at The Fountain Group

    Pros

Recruiters and support staff are great people. It sucks that their are people who work really hard so they can make a living. But none of these people are appreciated by others who profit off of them.

    Cons

Management is fake, incompetent, do not care for anyone and under appreciates the people who keep the organization going. They hire people under false pretense and their careers are ruined (or face a major set back) once they are on board and realize its all a lie. The company's image is all fake and lies. There's no growth unless you are willing to lie, cheat, and kiss up to the dictator who will only use you. Managers or leaders will not hesitate to stab one another or throw anyone under the buss to save their own skin. None of them, will ever own up to their actions. The ones that can wont stay because the have integrity that cant be compromised. If you care about your career. ..dont waste your time here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be truthful and grow a conscience. Its people's lively hood you are playing with.
