Pros

Some of the key reasons to choose Frankel Group include: Caliber of the people: Colleagues at the Frankel Group are some of the sharpest in the life sciences industry and have extremely deep domain expertise and business insight. You’ll learn something from them every day. Content of the work: You will work on highly engaging, challenging projects for life science investors, startups, and mid-size and large- companies. Recent project work has included: • A science and commercial-based prioritization of indications and assets for a leading global pharmaceutical company • A technology development and strategic partnering/fundraising strategy for an early-stage technology spinout • A royalty stream investment due diligence for a leading healthcare private equity investor Opportunities for growth: Frankel Group is a meritocracy. As the firm expands headcount and offices, there are plenty of opportunities for personal and professional growth. Engaged alumni, who you’ll meet as clients, at social events, or when their company uses one of the board rooms for a meeting. Fun, open working culture and flat org structure. Transparent and extremely well-managed firm.

Cons

Some benefits are lacking (such as cell phones, which are used regularly for work)

Advice to Management

Please keep doing what you are doing - bringing in interesting, challenging projects and fostering a fun, transparent and overall great place to work.

    Pros

Flat org structure - The opinions of staff at all levels are a respected and valued part of every project, and everyone's door is open if you need help on an assignment. Strong professional development - From the training you get in your first week to the debriefs after each project to your annual review, FG always makes sure you know where you stand and what you need to do to improve. Great corporate culture - We have a casual in-office environment and enjoy spending time with each other outside of work, whether that's a pumpkin carving event at Halloween, the annual holiday party, or (no, really) trampoline dodgeball in the summer. Generalists within the life sciences - we don't work with one type of client or on one type of project. You'll get exposure to products at every stage of the life cycle, and to companies as small as single-person start-ups or as large as the major pharma manufacturers.

    Cons

Two-project model sometimes can make it difficult to juggle priorities. It just takes a little while to get used to this process, but as long as you advocate for yourself you can find a balance. There are the standard tradeoffs of working for a smaller firm (i.e., less access to more costly secondary resources / databases), although this has yet to actually impede a project I've been on Along the same lines, there are the standard tradeoffs of working in client services. You'll have some long nights and some unpredictable weeks, but the firm works hard to keep everyone's staffing manageable so that no one person is swamped for too long.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing - stay transparent with employees about our individual progress and the direction of the firm overall. And please add 1-2 more firm holidays to the calendar!

    Pros

Small company environment is great, as is open door policy of management. The majority of the work is interesting, and the lack of constant travel common to other consulting firms is a huge plus.

    Cons

Hours are good for a consulting firm, but are very unpredictable. The work is generally interesting, but can be tedious at times. Management styles vary among the senior staff, and figuring out your role at the beginning of a project can be an interesting endeavor.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the open door policy
