    Cons

If your a top performer, your held on a higher level, and more is expected of you. Long/Short hours. If work isn't done, you must stay back. Staffing/ Floor Coverage can be bad, and then you have to pick up the extra slack.

Former Employee - Analyst in San Francisco, CA

I worked at The Gap full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    - Good relationships with internal business partners. Good opportunities for collaboration.
    - Like the company overall philosophy (social responsibility, volunteering)
    - Opportunities for mobility if that is what you seek.
    - Had long career with the company.

    Cons

    - Management sometimes has issues dealing with their employees properly.
    - Yearly restructuring can often affect headcount (as in shuffling/reductions).
     - Unless you seek major position movement (into management vs. individual contributor) you can ceiling out career wise and have just lateral movements.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Learn how to deal with employees in a collaborative way.
    - Have more transparency when communicating down to your teams.
