Pros

Great 'family' of workers, Nice people, fairly nice customers, pay raises every year dependent on your work ethic and how well you are doing within the company.

I worked at The Gap full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

the Gap is a wonderful place, full of great people that sell great products. the location is outstanding and the culture is overall very mellow, etc. Very smart people, terrific place

    Cons

given the very high cost of living in san francisco, the gaps salaries are probably on the low side. you will have to balance this with the work / life balance and lifestyle. there are no bonuses. and the taxes are outrages, given it is california

I worked at The Gap part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Brand is well known and the stores are popular. They provide some training initially. The work consists mainly of restocking the shelves, sorting the displays, and helping the customers.

    Cons

The company discount is only on full-price purchases. They need to provide more season to season style training.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend more time creating brand loyalty amongst your employees!
