I worked at The Gap part-time for more than a year

Pros

Nice people to work with. Very accommodating and flexible with scheduling. High base pay. Great employee discount across all brands. Opportunity to win point to use towards prizes and awards for outstanding performance.

Cons

Too much emphasis on brand credit card sales. Lots of on-call scheduling. Some clothes are priced unreasonably high. Late Holiday Season hours.

I have been working at The Gap full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I liked the team, great people worked here, but you can find that anywhere.

    Cons

Raises didn't even keep up with inflation, forced overtime due to understaffing, severe understaffing, lack of advancement potential, worse workers were paid more to incentivize them to do better, while good employees got the bare minimum and no raise because they didn't need to be incentivized

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Show more appreciation than just food. Food helps for a day, a raise helps for the year.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
