I worked at The Genard Group full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Was placed a year after appling with little or no supervision from Genard staff with good company you would rather work for directly instead of being outsourced to.Worked along upstanding individuals at site but didn't get any consul, advice, update or comment from Genard staff .

    Cons

Treated like second class citizen ,poor phone etiquette from staff ,horrendous employee relations, lowest pay rate. no advancement/promotion and no overtime/benefits.E-mails and state mandated benefits send near or after deadlines.Recruiters and payroll acted llike they were doing you a favor whenever you ask a question or for assistance. No assistance or mention of further or future employment in their agency.Blacklist former employees with no hope of redemption or reemployment in their company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want your competition to prosper less than treat current and former employees better.Retention over termination should be taken into account when dealing with employees instead of employee turnover. If accredited by the Better Business Bureau, the agency shoud be re-evaluted by them and the Consumer Protection board. Should relinquish or sell business to competitors who possess good employee relations or improved business practices,

I have been working at The Genard Group

    Pros

The Recruiters really seem to care about finding people jobs.

    Cons

As a corporate staff member--You are a temp forever. Some have been temp for years (which is probably illegal) so no benefits, vacation, holiday pay. Their only client is the hospital system of NYC- which is a small world at the administrative level. So despite the hard work of the Recruiters (who are all way too smart to be there- but everyone needs a paycheck) the owner has poisoned every client relationship so the Genard candidates do not get fair consideration. You can expect to be yelled at, lied to, and treated like dirt. As a temp candidate you should go to another agency. There are more that are bigger, better and that offer benefits and such. The hospital system has this contract with more than a dozen vendors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It would be a waste of time. The management/owner is the problem. This business will not be around for much longer. If clients avoid referrals from this vendor (and they are), there is no hope.
