I have been working at The Hartford

    Pros

Lots of Paid Time Off, Benefits begin day of hire, decent starting pay rate.

    Cons

Limited opportunity for advancement, Company is actively outsourcing jobs to India, layoffs prominent and always on the horizon for the past four years. Management not honest about whether you will keep your job or not- very little communication from management. The company plays favorites. Highly stressful- the reason you get so much PTO is to keep you from flipping out.

    Doesn't Recommend

Used to be a great place to work, now it feels like a typical corporation.

I have been working at The Hartford

    Pros

Good benefits and vacation time, work from home privileges, bonuses, current manager, co-workers

    Cons

Poor job training, the ability to move up within the company, compensation, outsouring, being promoted within a department is extremely difficult, lack of work/life balance, many things are gray and never black and white when it comes to management making decisions, the current outsourcing of many areas

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More honest communication to the employees just be upfront. Jobs should be kept here not outsourced
