I have been working at The Hartford full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Loads of paid time off, most people are very friendly to work with, and the independence is nice.

    Cons

Leadership and supers are very cynical and provide zero motivation for a team. Monotonous work that takes all of 6 months to be successful at. Very high turnover, which turns into so much work, it becomes overwhelming.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Really work on keeping employees motivated. Quit saying, "We're overstaffed." Even if you are, the excuse becomes a de-motivator.

I have been working at The Hartford full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Job Satisfaction is highly dependent on immediate manager. Some are great, many poor.
    Company is direction

    Cons

Much churn and turnover since 2008

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Analyze the true cost of sourcing our professional employees. There is more to your costs than an hourly rate. Productivity, business value and delivery, and wasted time but professionals in areas dependent on their support are also variables that need to be considered. Our productivity, deliverables and quality was much better before sourcing.
