Pros

Huge company with a lot of ammenities. Predictable hours, flex time, laid back managers, willing to teach the job to new employees.

Cons

Some down time at the beginning. Newer employees have less flexibility with time.

    Pros

    Like the girl for referred me said, "Its not the best company in the world and its not the worst... but you WILL get your check EVERY other Friday with no problems." She was correct!

    Cons

    The Hartford promotes diversity and inclusion but when you embark upon positions over the management level, you see less and less of that diversity.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't just ask us to complete surveys... actually read the results and implement the comments. There still is no real work/life balance and that should change.

    I worked at The Hartford full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Was great place to work before current management moved in from BofA. Good PTO, remote working and team building made it easy and fun to work there.

    Cons

    Constant layoffs of Corp IT and outsourcing to Indian consultants made work process almost impossible to control. Reduction in benefits and retirement plans and indecisive management motivated me to find another job. A 200 year old company decided that American workers are too expensive and their knowledge of the business and its system development have no value. The senior management operates to please investment analysts vs. its customers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop managing to Wall Street expectations and keep Americans working in America.
