The Hartford – “Great place to work”

Pros

1) There are plenty of opportunities within the company to move around and try out different roles.
2) There are a lot of great people that work there
3) Hard work is rewarded handsomely (Once you get to the management level)
4) The Hartford does a great job assisting individuals reach their professional goals (FCAS, CPCU, etc.)

Cons

1) Hartford, CT is not the most happenin' town
2) Lots of red tape - it takes incredible amounts of energy and effort to accomplish anything
3) Occasional silo mentality - all units not always communicating with each other and lack of understanding/appreciation of what is involved in completing some tasks
