I have been working at The Home Depot

Pros

Flexible hours, Decent Pay, People who work there are generally professional, Putting Customers first also extends to the associates, ability to move up pretty quickly (becoming full time or a Head Cashier or FT Head Cashier after 6 months is reasonable) but ability to move up to really highly desired jobs isn't as quick (becoming a Front-End Supervisor more like 3-5 years). There is a lot of respect for diversity and a lot of opportunities to be recognized.

Cons

Sometimes there is conflicting directions from Head Cashiers, Management, or Supervisors. Definitely need to be flexible. Sometimes when a lot of new cashiers are hired on, the older cashiers must take up the slack. Work load is over-all fair, though.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communication between yourselves and the employees is really important. Otherwise, great job.

I have been working at The Home Depot

    Pros

Strong cash cow with a strong future. Home Depot cares about its workers, and works hard to stay on top of its game.

    Cons

Must have more workers on the sales floor. Customers get very upset

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managers are not promoting the right people. Hard workers and good leaders are kept in position for years out of fear of not having a good replacement. Thats poor !
