Great People.Terrible management.

Department Supervisor (Current Employee)

ProsDecent benefits,Great front line associates.

ConsTerrible scheduling.Low pay for the work required(Department Supervisors,ASM)Communication is very bad.Stress level and work load keep DS's in constant state of miserable.Store manager is very aloof and does not have his finger on the pulse of his business.Knowledgeable associates are often called upon excessively to many different departments to answer questions. This does not allow other aspect of their jobs to be accomplished and is viewed often as slacking when it is anything but.My store is horrible for recognizing Department Supervisors for outstanding service.

Advice to Senior ManagementPay knowledgeable associates MORE!There are too many that know NOTHING!Scrap the NEW scheduling "tool" and let the HRM do the scheduling again.Create assistant department supervisors or at least allow PT associates to do some of the "first phone"work. The work load is killing us Frank!!!I love you man,but this has got to stop!!!
