Unprofessional School

Special Education Teacher (Former Employee)

ProsYou can make a difference to underpriviledged children and help teach them new coping skills.

ConsMicro managed badly. Teachers are overworked and held to double standards than to other employees. There aren't break periods. Staff expected to work straight through the day with no break and have to eat lunch with class. Preferred staff get more leeway on issues. Administration is often not qualified or competant.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't micromanage your staff and expect the company to run better. You can start by following Illinois labor codes and hiring qualified staff. Give better benefits and pay, and better communicaton of expectations. Treat staff better. Care about what they teach. You seem more concerned with your staff behaviors than those of your students.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
