Great, for a enterprise-sized non-profit.

I worked at The Nature Conservancy full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

By-and-large surrounded by good people doing good things for a good cause. There is occasionally a myopic Type-A leader who runs amock, but the rank-and-file pulls together and focuses on getting things done.

Cons

The Conservancy is big (massive) so it takes a while for the gears of the bureaucracy to grind. That said, the benefits of an enterprise (excellent benefits, good work/life balance, diverse array of work projects) far outweigh the drawbacks.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be transparent. Better internal communications, and be upfront about work programs and objectives. Sometimes being nice does more harm than good.
