Pros

Well established leader in its field, globally recognized, presence in most countries means you theoretically have a possibility of moving to any geographic location. Good propriety tools and a fair level of innovation.

Cons

Very political, slow growth, bureaucratic, image matters a lot, favoritism, management can be like a closed group with vested personal interests that get priority over interests of regular employees.

    Pros

    They place a lot of value on advancing talented people, great team atmosphere, decent pay, and great exposure to a variety of industries, manufacturers, and retailers.

    Cons

    While there are lots of development opportunities, the development track is not well defined, and you're mostly on your own to figure it out. Knowledge sharing is encouraged, but the follow-through is poor with a poorly managed internal knowledge sharing system and no reliable directory of experts.

    Pros

    Exposure to big FMCG manufacturers' business and networking opportunities for future employment. Good analatical training and developement.

    Cons

    Nielsen salaries are way too low for the calibre of recruits. This leads to high staff turnover since even junior employees can earn more at other companies. The salary doesnt compensate for the poor work/life balance.
    Promotions are also dependant on the accounts that the employee works on. If they are lucky enough to be be selected to work on a big/high spending client they will get promoted easier -despite not working as hard as other executives.
