Current Employee - Senior Analyst in Chicago, IL

I have been working at The Nielsen Company full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Very large company; provides employees with many options and varying career paths
    - Opportunities for those who are technically gifted and those who want to focus more on consultatitve skills

    Cons

    - Pay is slightly lower than competitors, but having the name on your resume may be worth it

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend more time getting a pulse of general office morale. Since upper level employees are rarely in the office, there is a clear disconnect between the analysts and leaders in the company.
