I have been working at The Ohio State University part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Amazing, intelligent and down-to earth friendly people
    Great healthcare benefit (student perspective)
Discounted tuition, as well as employer who wants you to continue your education

    Cons

tradition rules-- you come across people who have been in their job for 30+ years and will stay there until they kick the bucket. Change is hard to come by, and if it is, it's probably not going to be good. The centralization of processing is completely insane and not streamlined and not thought out. Also getting rid of problem employees is neigh impossible, leaving poorly trained people in positions where someone could come in and make everything efficient.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Tradition is okay, but seriously, things need to change for the better.
