I have been working at The Ohio State University

Pros

great hours and work on commission with 11% of all sales.

Cons

hard to get new account. Seniority and luck are the way to go. Until you inherit some big account you wont be making any money.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

They always do a great job just maybe change the required hours to be in the office each week. Many of us can do most of our work remotely.

I have been working at The Ohio State University

    Pros

great benefits; reasonable salaries; smart people; flexibility in work hours; little supervisory oversight.

    Cons

fixed faculty hierarchy limits many people's access to resources for advancement; many undergrads lazy; many grads act entitled, lazy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Today, instructors are evaluated only quantitatively. There is no incentive for not-yet-tenured faculty to put time into improving teaching. Allow faculty time to improve their teaching before tenure.

I have been working at The Ohio State University

    Pros

Some autonomy and a great student body

    Cons

The campus faculty culture is dominated by the good ol boys and girls club who are self aggrandizing low quality and non innovative professionals - this place needs young and progressive leadership by people that were not indoctrinated by the ancients

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Question the established lines of authority and department leadership - do something about the instructors/profs that your students disapprove of - there is a good reason
