I have been working at The Palo Alto Medical Foundation

Pros – Consistant paycheck and good benifits. Working with people is the greatest fun!!!! Our focus is to help patients. Everyday there is something new that keeps the job interesting. I feel my department works as a team so we often help each other with problem solving. I appreciate that the ones who handle hiring doctors are good at getting the best in our area. I have been encouraged that even speaking with other locations, I see the focus is helping patients.

Cons – Needs more consistant communication throughout all departments of any changes. One department may know something that doesn't get communicated to the other. We can't work as a team when there is a lack of communication. Since we are now a large corporation, I feel that working as a team for patients has to be our focus. I would love to get rid of negative employees.

Advice to Senior Management – Keep things simple. Keep communication an over and above focus. Find ways to make the workplace fun. I would love to see something that brings all locations, all departments and all levels together as one team.
