I have been working at The Rank Group full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Clear strategy with new CEO, frequent updates from senior management, great work-life balance, given a voice and listened to, opportunity to make changes, very collaborative environment

    Cons

shift in culture means some people are in old mind-set, people still want to point the finger rather than resolve the problem, lack of targets limits motivation, would be nice to be set a target then rewarded if it's hit

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep informing everyone on strategy and let us know how we're doing regularly

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
    Approves of CEO

I worked at The Rank Group full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Relaxed, good work-life balance, some really nice people, old fashioned appeal. Salaries okay (but very little progression). Little sense of urgency so low stress and well resourced.

    Cons

Slow moving, lots of cliques and politics, unwilling to adopt new ideas, lots of people who have been there a long time stuck in a time-warp. Unbelievably old fashioned, like Grace Brothers in Are You Being Served at times. Know your place and speak when you're spoken to or else. A few cynical people completely up themselves pretending to be good guys. Company talks a good fight but often just talk.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Update the business model, reward talent and achievement. Create a true high performance culture with rewards and people held accountable

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
