I have been working at The Rittenhouse

    Pros

It has been a great experience working at this world famous luxury hotel located on the west side of Rittenhouse Square Park. There is always interesting personalities checking into the hotel, a great potential for make enough money to live a comfortable lifestyle and then some!

    Cons

The company core values "encourage" is not reflected in management, and in conflict with the image corporate tries to project. This is also the first job where I have had so many payroll issues with an ineffective HR department.

I have been working at The Rittenhouse full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Best hotel in the city according to online reviews by guests.
    Free lunch.
Chance to work for where celebrities work.
    Nice people in HR department.

    Cons

Lack of communication, poor compensation, company advertises a career path that does not exist. I was truly disappointed to realize that the position that I was hired for was not indeed what they needed. There is no structured training in place. I was advised by some coworkers to look for other jobs in my first day of employment.
Certain positions do not make enough money, which is a shame for a 5 star hotel. When I tried to balance my two jobs my manager told me it was "his way or the highway".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clearly communicate what it is that you look for during the interview process, and give an honest potential income
