Pros

The Select Group is definitely one of the better staffing firms out there to work for. The culture is great (they have a number of people who left other staffing firms to go there because of the poor culture they experienced), and I do think that the people working there are passionate about what they do. If you like to be rewarded for hard work and like to continually push yourself, then it's a great company to work for. On the other hand, since it's a sales company they are definitely metrics-based, which not everyone likes. I will say that you always know where you stand due to everyone's numbers coming out every week. Personally, that pushes me to work harder.

Cons

It's a sales company and sales isn't for everyone- if you've been in sales before you know that it's pretty much on you to perform, and if you don't like a fast-paced environment where things are constantly changing then you won't enjoy it there.

    Pros

The company was built on solid training and ideals around a solid client and client experience. It's a great first recruiting job that will give you a foundation of very good training for a year, but not more if you're looking to be part of an organization for the long term. -Most likely it's still a fun & dynamic environment to be a part of.

    Cons

-You are promised the world at this company as an internal employee, and it's not reality even if you are a superstar performer -You are expected to work your life away for poor monetary return. I'd do research on the industry and other compensation plans. -If you don't fit a perfect mold, you are treated as an outsider -You will be thrown out like the trash if you don't adhere to certain terms. There is no loyalty to good human nature.

    Pros

Small company with lots of room for upward mobility. Opportunity to help open up new offices throughout the country.

    Cons

Micromanaged environment. Feels like a high school clique.

    Advice to Management

Show your employees they are appreciated in more ways than parties. Take them out to lunch, don't make them take PTO when the cable guy is coming to their house, don't have their numbers be publicized 7 different ways (good bad or indifferent)
