Pros

short hours, 3.5 to 4.5 hrs a day 5 days a week on set schedule with opportunity for double shifts. good pay, good benefits

Cons

work in extreme cold or hot weather isnt fun

Advice to ManagementAdvice

would recommend better heaters for winter and better fans or cooling systems for summer

    I have been working at The UPS Store part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    I learn a lot about shipping and the logistics of how UPS works. There is a lot of customer interaction, which is a plus for someone like me who enjoys working with people. You do not work with many people, which can be a good thing.

    Cons

    Working with few people can also be a bad thing if you do not get along with those people. Customers often complain about pricing or ask stupid questions, but as with any customer service position you just have to deal with it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Provide bonuses for employees for sales of next day airs, 2nd day airs, mailboxes, signatures, etc.
