    I worked at The World Bank full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Satisfaction of working for an institution that works to reduce poverty around the world with smart economic advice and financing. Good work life balance. Very smart and intellectual colleagues who want to make a difference in the world.

    Cons

    Being effectively an international civil service (the Bank is owned by over 180 member countries) Internal politics can at times be demotivating, but the satisfaction of the noble mission of the Bank compensates.

    Great chances to travel to developing countries and work on real projects. Good balance of analytical and problem solving skills

    Less structured in professional training, so you need to have a strong self-motivation!!
