I worked at The World Bank as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

It was a good opportunity to work in a international organization.

    Cons

Huge... huge... bureaucracy problem. Many people and programs working on the same and are completely disconnected. The changes to get into a staff position are very limited.

I worked at The World Bank part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Interesting work, exposure to different seminars and knowledge sharing if you have time

    Cons

You only deal with your specific assignment- no opportunity to interact with other areas or other. The recognition of your contribution in the piece of work depends on who you work for. They can dare not even mentionning you and as if they did all the work on their own.
