Pros

Awesome culture, more like a family that supports one another.

Cons

Not enough hours in the day for all of the cool ideas that surface!

Advice to Management

Continue to focus on culture and hiring for culture fit first.

    Pros

The relaxed and flexible schedule enables you the freedom to take ownership of your projects. Very little micromanaging. Zappos definitely knows how to party which also builds many relationships outside of work. I feel like I work with a huge group of friends. Everyone is very passionate about what they do and with the new initiative downtown the sense of community with our city adds to the dynamics of the company. There is a lot of opportunity for growth.

    Cons

There is a lot of restructuring withing of departments since my time here. Often not enough time is given for the team to prove valuable before its changed once again. New positions are created from within so there are constant growing pains. There is a little feeling of struggle when it comes to the forward movement of our creative. From a creative standpoint, all departments choose to work independently leaving our brand a little inconsistent.

    Advice to Management

At our level of business, a Creative Director type would be very beneficial to our brand.

    Pros

Free food (if you can stand to eat it), drinks, gym, nice break area's, free insurance, and I'm sure a awesome place to work if your at Vegas location.

    Cons

only getting 22 - 24 minute of 30 minute lunches and 10 - 11 minute of 15 minute breaks due to walk times. ( mostly outbound ) Zappos may be awesome in Vegas but what I've experience here in Kentucky there all about PR image. But I wish Vegas the best because we're the step child that was sold out.

    Advice to Management

Mostly meant for Leads and Level 1 managers. Stop acting like your 150k plus yearly professionals and better than all of us, because most of us know you were lazy workers that developed a click with other suck ups to get your promotions.
